Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation in Zimbabwe, Executive Board Member – IOC, Director of the Kirsty Coventry Academy. Kirsty Leigh Coventry is a 5-time Olympian dedicated to sport, women and children. She dedicated over 20 years to become the top female swimmer in the history of the Olympic Games. She has been to 5 Olympic Games, won 7 individual Olympic medals (2 Gold, 4 Silver, 1 bronze), broken multiple world records and had one of the best World Championship careers of all time. She is a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive board and Chairperson of the Athletes Commission. She was also appointed as the Chairperson of the Senegal 2022 Youth Olympic Games Coordination Commission. In 2018, Kirsty Coventry was appointed as a Cabinet Minister responsible for youth, sport, arts and recreation in Zimbabwe. She founded a sports non-profit organization that supports underprivileged children in Zimbabwe with free sports coaching and training. To date the program has reached over 6000 children.
