Charles Perrière

Parkour Commission President

Charles Perrière created the Parkour discipline with his friends from the YAMAKASI group in the early 90’s.

In 1998, he began an artistic career in the entertainment industry through the musical “Notre Dame de Paris” by Luc Plamondon. Then in 2001, as an actor and author for the movies “Taxi2”, “Yamakasi the modern-day samurais” produced by Luc Besson as well as “The sons of the wind ”produced by UGC. In 2004, he created his Parkour club “Culture Parkour” in Paris.

Base on its expertise, he was approached by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) in 2017 which offered him to supervise the development of the discipline at the international level. Since 2018, Charles Perrière chairs the FIG Parkour Commission.
