Brianna Salvatore Dueck is a dedicated sport for development ambassador, having launched a project at the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization in 2019 merging sports diplomacy and sport for development in addressing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As a former professional basketball player in Europe, she has seen the power of sport in her own life as a vehicle for change and in helping her overcome the loss of her mother. Brianna is also currently a consultant at Nielsen Sports where she provides strategic analysis and recommendations on media valuation, sponsorship fit and negotiation support across key stakeholders in the Sports and Entertainment industry. She has a master’s in International Development from the #2 globally ranked Sciences Po, Paris and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis where she also competed as the starting point guard and captain of her basketball team (NCAA Division I University level). Recently elected as a member of Women Athlete Business Network, Brianna is 1 of 25 professional female athletes to receive mentorship through Ernst and Young and the International Women’s Forum. She has additionally been an international speaker on the topic of Sport for Gender Equality, Sport for Development and Sports Diplomacy at various panels including for the European Union and Federation International de l’Automobile and Jeux Africains in Rabat, Morocco.
