Global Sports Week returned from FEBRUARY 1st - 5th 2021 with a new format MIXING PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL EXPERIENCES. The WORLD-FIRST MULTI-COUNTRY CONCEPT was designed for a new era.
It included a CENTRAL BASE IN PARIS and HUB EVENTS IN FIVE FUTURE OLYMPIC HOST CITIES - Tokyo, Beijing, Dakar, Milan and Los Angeles - all connected live via a GROUNDBREAKING VIRTUAL PLATFORM.
Paris remained the epicentre of Global Sports Week in 2021. The event took place primarily online with speakers linked live to international hub venues from a spectacular studio setting, suspended 57 metres above ground at the heart of the Eiffel Tower. An exciting and innovative programme helped to set the agenda for a decade in which the French capital will host the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and France 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Global Sports Week Paris went truly global in 2021. Where local health conditions allowed, one-day events welcomed guests in five future Olympic cities, live-linked to Paris and the central platform.
Global Sports Week's digital platform was the ultimate forum destination in 2021, accessible from everywhere in the world. It included two live linear media channels (from the main Arena and event Village) as well as a rich on-demand content library and next-generation networking tools to connect GSW participants across the world.
